Transit TTC Tax Credit
This tax credit was introduced in 2006.
Taxpayers who use Public Transit can now claim a non-refundable tax credit for their passes. These include passes purchased for dependent children under 19 years of age.
Public Transit services are defined as services offered to the general public for daily travel. These could include transit of different modes, such as buses, streetcars, subway and local ferries.
Passes and receipts must be saved in order to verify the expenses you are claiming for the tax credit.
